Colin Imagined
I sketched this years ago in an attempt to visualize what Colin might look like and how a “shift” may work. I tried to see if I could match the caricature-like human features and morph them into wolf-like characteristics. And to NOT make it scary looking.
Now being a cartoon illustrator by profession, a lot of people asked whether I would make “Initiation Dream” into a graphic novel. Made sense since I could draw.
Nope.
When you have a style that looks like this:
Which mostly looks like the Sunday Comics (or for those who don’t ever see a newspaper- your basic non-CGI, 2-dimensional cartoon animation) it’s hard to imagine telling a werewolfish story with whimsical line drawings!
If “Initiation Dream” becomes popular enough for a graphic novel, after, of course, the making of the movie…it will be illustrated by a professional that actually draws graphic novels!
I hope it happens. That’d be totally awesome!
