Here’s something fun. Displayed are the many concepts of making the cover. I presented them to friends, family and students to see what ones caught their eye. I had made my choice of the Kino MT font and worked off of that. The wolf image was found and Photoshopped by using “poster-edges” in the filter section and adding my eyes to it. The village scene had to be played with and an image with a Creative Commons License had to found to be used. One of the covers, with what looks like Indian art (in sepia), was a Father’s Day card my daughter created. That, of course, was on my top list for a while:)
The book’s title had been changed in time, too. The original title (Harry Potter influenced) was Colin Trask and the Wolf Shifters. It was changed to Initiation Dream to represent a major turning point in the story, but also that a dream was the inspiration for the book.
